Our Surgery Center

Palos Hills Surgery Center, a freestanding ambulatory surgery facility, is owned by Anton Fakhouri, MD and Gary Kronen, MD. The center opened in March 2014.

Featured in the 9,000-square foot facility are four (4), large, modern operating rooms with state-of-the-science equipment and fully private pre-operative and recovery rooms. Our medical staff includes surgeons associated with MidAmerica Orthopaedics: Anton Fakhouri, MD, and Gary Kronen, MD. The center specializes in orthopaedics and plastic/reconstructive surgery.

Anesthesia services are provided by a group of anesthesiologists working as independent contractors whose practice is focused exclusively on outpatient surgery. The center has a transfer agreement with Christ Hospital Medical Center to accommodate patients who require overnight observation. Palos Hills Surgery Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, is a provider in the Medicare Program, and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
